OUR STORY
How growing up with combat sports can change your vision for the rest of your life.

It started with a simple conversation
As a pharmacist, you get the same questions again and again. Is this supplement reliable, and does it actually do anything?
Jiwan Hasan and Magomed Ibragimov heard those questions from fighters as well, where more is riding on the answer. They pointed people toward brands with the right doses and the right forms, while struggling themselves to keep up a routine of four or five capsules spread across separate bottles.
The question kept coming from their own circle. Friends who had trained at a high level for years, without a sponsor and without the guidance around nutrition and recovery that other sports treat as standard. Cyclists and footballers in Belgium have been supported for decades. Fighters at a comparable level are usually on their own.

The problem in Belgium
Combat sports still do not get the recognition they deserve in Belgium. There are athletes here with the potential to become European champion, world champion, even Olympic champion, and the support required to get there simply is not there. Companies prefer the sports that have been established for decades, while combat sports quietly keep growing.
When Magomed started wrestling, there were barely five clubs across the whole of Flanders. Antwerp alone now has five.
- The talent is here.
- The motivation is here.
What is missing is guidance and support.
We believe Belgium can compete at the highest level within a reasonable timeframe, provided athletes get what they deserve. Where we can contribute to that, we will.

From idea to SHIDO
Food supplements are nothing new to pharmacists. They are sold every day, with the right advice alongside them. A supplement genuinely built for combat athletes is a different matter.
We wanted to create something that could serve as a foundation for any fighter. After more than a year of research, that became SHIDO Foundation: a formula of vitamins and minerals suited to any athlete, regardless of discipline or level.
This was not only for our friends, the people training daily with the ambition to reach the top of their sport. It was also for ourselves. Neither of us wanted to work through ten capsules and two powders a day, each from a separate bottle, each carrying its own uncertainty.
That is how SHIDO came about. One formula, in a market full of misinformation and far too many pills.
